That’s why we created a boutique window furnishings brand – one that offers something truly special: elegant, custom-designed window treatments with a level of service and craftsmanship you simply won’t find anywhere else.
After years in the industry, we saw a huge gap in the market. Too many window furnishings businesses focus on mass production, quick turnover, and generic designs – offering little in the way of true style or personal service. We knew homeowners across Canberra deserved better.
The aftermath of COVID-19 accelerated a race to the bottom – not just in price, but in the quality of service, craftsmanship, and materials. We watched as once-reputable manufacturers and retailers prioritized profit margins and volume over expertise and experience, cutting corners and diluting the quality that homeowners should expect. Aurora was founded as a direct response to this shift – we stand for authenticity, excellence, and a commitment to long-lasting quality.
Our business is built by four like-minded locals with a deep passion for the communities we live and work in. With extensive experience in window furnishings, interior design, and decorating – alongside leadership roles in large corporate environments. We bring a unique perspective to the industry. We understand what our customers truly want: stylish, high-quality solutions, exceptional service, and a seamless experience from start to finish.

Coming from a background in finance, business, and customer-focused industries, I realised I was naturally drawn to creating beautiful, functional spaces where people feel comfortable, proud, and at home.

When the opportunity came to join Aurora, it felt like the right fit because I could see the potential not only in the products, but in the relationships and trust behind the business. What made me choose Aurora out of many businesses was the ability to grow something with genuine care and quality at the centre of it.
The Meaning Behind My Work
Window furnishings are not just functional, they become part of people’s homes, their routines, their privacy, their comfort, and even special life moments. I loved that Aurora had the foundation to create that experience for families.
My Vision
Over the next 10 years, I see Aurora continuing to grow into a well known and trusted name, recognised not only for beautiful products but also for honest service and attention to detail. I would love for Aurora to expand its reach, continue building strong supplier and client relationships, and create a reputation where customers feel looked after from beginning to end.
What Motivates Me
What motivates me most is building something meaningful and long lasting. I enjoy seeing ideas become reality and knowing that our work genuinely improves someone’s home and lifestyle. I’m also motivated by growth: both personally and professionally and by creating opportunities for the people around me.
What Inspires Me
What inspires me is people, creativity and seeing how much a home environment can impact the way families feel every day. A home should feel warm and safe and I believe window furnishings play a big part in that.

Family is very important to me and that naturally connects to Aurora. Every home we work on belongs to someone’s family, story and daily life.
